Aaron C. Caldwell

Aaron’s deep passion is for social change in the field of child slavery.

At age 32, Aaron is currently a Doctor of Creative Industries candidate in a pioneering doctoral program in the world’s first Creative Industries Faculty, located at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.  He was one of only 4 students admitted into the program in 2007 and presently he is on scholarship. Aaron also teaches at the university on personal values and social justice. Additionally, he designed and manages the academy’s first official international service-learning program with leadership from the Creative Industries Research Office.

In 2006, Aaron had already completed 3.5 years of international postgraduate study. Aaron has a Masters of Arts from the Department of Education at Western Michigan University. During his degree entitled, Socio-Cultural Studies and Educational Thought, he concentrated in Leadership, Third World Development and Child Labor. During his time at Western Michigan, he was invited to serve as a Teaching Assistant at Charles University in Prague. He also worked as a Research Assistant for the Political Science Department and as the Graduate Assistant for the Office of Study Abroad. Additionally, Aaron worked for Kalamazoo County Community Mental Health as a Self-Determination Specialist.  Currently Aaron is awaiting his second Masters in International Relations from Macquarie University, located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Aaron undertook the program on a prestigious Presidential Scholarship. The emphasis of this degree was in child’s rights, child labor, child-trafficking and globalization.

Prior to commencing his Masters work, Aaron taught English as a Second Language at institutions in Taiwan and South Korea. He also worked as First Mate, sailing the Caribbean for nearly a year, aboard a leisure charter. Recently, Aaron took a marketing job with a Maltese company in the Mediterranean. He quickly realized corporate-life did not compliment his dreams. Aaron has since worked with foreign human rights organizations such as Amnesty International.

During his undergraduate studies at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, Aaron was employed as a Resident Assistant for incoming freshman; served as a guest speaker at various leadership conferences on topics such as, ‘How Shall We Respond to the Dreams of Our Youth;” was one of three students nominated by the Office of Student Services to serve on the college Assessment Committee and, wrote as a guest columnist for the local newspapers on topics ranging from community development, to higher education policy implementation, and good-and-bad so to speak, of pop culture.

Aaron has presented at major child advocacy conferences such as Childhoods in Norway on the complex issue of child labor. He has also given several keynote presentations around the world at venues such as World Leadership Day.

USA – Board Vice President

Nick Manning

Nick became the Vice President of the International Institute for Inspiration in late 2007. Growing up in the Colorado Rocky Mountains in Durango Colorado and fighting fires in Alaska during the summer months has given him a profound respect for his neighbours and the planet. His professionalism with photography has gained him recognition in various galleries around the country. As a political science student at Fort Lewis College, Manning aspires to use his photography and documentary film skills as a tool through 3I for social awareness and change. His positive outlook on life and his generous thinking to combat social justice make him a maverick to keep your eye on.

USA – Board Treasurer

Kyra Moon

Kyra has rich academic and volunteer achievements in the USA and abroad along side a talent for finance. She has extensive volunteer experience with Child Care Denver, Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity, DU Interest Group, Volunteers of America, Habitat for Humanity and EPYCS (El Pomar Youth in Community Service). She is an alumni member of the prestigious National Honor Society and has played a significant role in the Wellness Living and Learning community and the University of Denver where she is currently pursing a postgraduate degree. She has also studied and learned abroad as part of the Cherrington Global Scholar Program at DU, Exeter, England. Over her undergraduate and postgraduate journey she has received such awards and honors as: the Chancellor’s Scholarship; Armstrong Scholarship; Dean’s List (every academic quarter); Magna Cum Laude; and Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society.
